Analyze the following statement and explain if you do or do not support it: "With the development of a fully integrated national health information system, big data reflecting patient outcomes will replace the role of research studies in developing EBP guidelines."
I will support this study. Evidence based also clinical practice guidelines. "Are systematically developed statements to assist practitioner and patient decisions about appropriate health care for special clinical circumstances".Evidence based practice guidelines are developed by panels or groups of experienced individuals who carefully weigh syntheses of evidence and strength of the evidence before developing recommendation for interventions .As each individual is presents different characteristics, caregiver must consider the treatment options that are appropriate for the specific situation.
Evidence is considered high quality if the study design minimizes potential biases.study design can be considered in a hierarchy with rigorously preformed systematic reviews and High quality evidence. In presentations an evidence based review the evidence is summarized and patient's values and preferences are then factored into the recommendation. Values and preferences are subjective and individualized and may vary among patients and the guideline .systematic review are an important component to developing evidence based guidelines but do not provide sufficient information for making informed decisions in health care. This is because clinicians and others who utilize guidelines draw their patients conclusion. Clinical guidelines should therefore assess the methodologic quality of the studies that form the basis of their guidelines recommendation to standardize judgements of study evidence. This process high-quality the gaps in the literature and identifies where further good quality research is required.
