Critical Thinking
1. What kind of foreign aid is effective? Why?
2. Is government stability an important consideration when giving foreign aid?
3. What role does corruption play in the effectiveness of foreign aid?
1. The most effective foreign aids are those that are directed to uplift the living standard of the society, improving the literacy level, healthcare, and other society related issues. The main aim of these aids is to help the country in facilitating financial support to help the citizens in leading a good life
2. Yes, government stability plays a greater role in attracting foreign aids as it ensures that there will be continuity of the public welfare plans and all the programs that are made for the foreign aid will be carried out as proposed.
3. Corruption is a major issue hen it comes to foreign aid as if the country has a high level of corruption, the majority of the foreign aid will be wasted in the corruption and the intended goals will not be attained. This will demoralize the aid-giving countries and agencies as they will treat that their taxpayer's money has been misused
