A lawyer advised his client that they could no longer participate in a certain business because of changes to the tax laws. He then secretly took advantage of an exception in those tax laws to start up his own business doing the same thing. He failed to advise his client of that exception and kept his own participation in the business a secret while continuing to act as their lawyer. When the client found out, he sued both the lawyer and his partners in the law firm.

Explain the nature of the complaint and the appropriate remedy in these circumstances. Should the innocent partners also be liable for the loss?

This is in Alberta, Canada

Lawyer is a person whoes job is to help the people inorder to represent the clients before government agencies or judges. If the client have any problem he consulted any layer and trusted on him/her for the help. The express each and every thing with the layer and trusted that lawyer will solve the problem under the legal authority or we can say according to the laws made by constitution, because lawyer has achieved the knowledge of laws or rules and regulations and help people who are involved in any case. The businessman trusted on lawyer and express himself fully , the lawyer was greedy and seduces the client and told him that the tax rules have changed and can't help the client anymore. After that tthe layer started his own business with his partners and deceived the client.

The client take a new action against the layer and his partners, tge clients action is legal and genuine, the court can punish the lawyer only for one reason according to law made by the constitution, if the client got loss in his business with the lie and deceiving advice of lawyer.

It is not the fault of the lawyer that he started his business the lawyer do his work as a common citizen,if the lawyer snatched his business with the force or by corruption then the layer is Will be strictly punished under the laws made by constitution but he started the clients business in that way, anybody can do that. the second noteworthy point is the client did not have any other two eyewitness , who will give evidence in front of judges in the court

For example a opens a daily goods shop, i am telling him that it it useless and gives him advice to close the shop. The person closed the shop and im opening the same shop. The person can not complait against me because he should not pay attention on my words its the faultbof that person no mine. Similarly the client should consult the next lawyer for suggestions, advice or for his case.
