There were great changes in today health care system that the previous years. due to increased population growth, there is a need for additional health care resources. a patient navigator is a health professional they focus on patient needs. navigator helps to guide the patient through the health care system. medical assistants act as a patient navigator they check vital signs, review patient medical records, obtaining patient medical, family, and social history for the provider. Medical assistants as a patient navigator identify the issues and make a trust for future followup and focus on volume-based to value-based health care models.
