RESTRICTIVE LUNG DISEASES

It is the diseases which refers to a group of lung diseases that prevents the complete expansion of the lungs for the flow of air which makes the narrowing of the lungs and causes difficulty in breathing.

DESCRIPTION	DISEASE 1:- ASBESTOSIS	DISEASE 2 :- SARCOIDOSIS
MEANING	Is is a chronic lung disease caused caused by occupational factors such as inhailing asbestos fibers	It is a diseases characterised by the growth of tiny collections of inflammmatory cells of the lungs.
ETIOLOGICAL FACTORS	High exposure to asbestos dust	Inflammation can be due to the entry of the micro organisms such as bacteria,virus and fungus
CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS	Dry cough Chest tightness Chest pain Finger tips and toes are appear wider and rounder than normal	Fever Joint Pain Dry mouth Nose bleeds Shortness of breath Wheezing
DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION	Physical examination Cracking sound while inhailing Chest X-Ray Shows irregular opacities in the lower lobes,heart border becomes shaggy. MANAGEMENT	Oxygen therapy Physiotherapy(to remove the secreation from the lungs) Nebulization(to loosen the secreation from the lungs Postural drainage(to remove the excessive secreation) Organ transplant in severe lung damage	Administration of corticosteroids as per doctors order (to reduce the inflammation) Medications that supress the immune system(Reduce imflammation by supressing the immune system)   Eg: Trexal Tumor necrosis factor - alpha/TNF- alpha( Treat the inflammation associated with Rheumatoid arthritis) Organ transplant in severe lung damage
