Texting while driving is a type of driving which is distracted thus may takes the driver’s eyes off the road, concentration off the task of driving or hands off the wheel. Texting while driving can be as dangerous as drinking and driving, therefore laws outlawing hand-held devices must be implemented. Using phones while driving whether it could be texting or calling may cause accidents and creates distractions. I believe citizens need to understand the utmost significance of how using a hands free ear device while driving can ultimately eliminate the amount of traffic deaths. Texting while driving has dangerous consequences that will get worse unless we work together. It is important that they should aware their family, friends, relatives of the negative effects of texting driving. Work with the loved ones to formulate strategies to reduce the chances of texting while driving such as select any person to be designated texter while an individual is behind the wheel; practice patience; make a habit of sending before you begin your trip; and make a promise to keep your thumbs off the phone while driving.
