Interest people are major channel through which decision makers can take their opinion in policy making.
Their participation in policy making may improve decision making processes by supporting policies that are in line with the citizen preferences and blocking policies that soley reflect the intetrest of goverment elite.

Interest influence is expected to vary depending on the institutions of goverment that they interact with
Institutions may empower or disenfranchise specific interests. Institutions may enhance or lower the conerned interest of groups.
Instituions can shape the resource needs of politicians.whenever institutions can make decision makers rely on interest group resources, interest group gain influence over policy outcomes.
That why most of the times, Surveys and opinions are made before any policy structuring, so that policy is aligned with the interest and needs of people rather than goverment solely personal benefits.
