What are the differences in the primary mandates assigned to state and federal health facility surveyors and the state long-term care ombudsman program (LTCOP)?
Primary mandates assigned to states:
Is the determination of which state have laws that require the review of mandated health insurance benefits and describe various approaches state takes in reviewing mandated benefits as , stated in the mandated benefits law.
Federal health facility surveyors:
Strengthens the role of its members state agencies in advocacy, establishing, overseeing and co ordinating health care standards that will assure the highest practicable quality of health care for all state and federally regulated health care providers. These goals are met through member advocacy to various organisations and agencies through gathering communicating and exchanging of health related information.
State long term care ombudsmen programme:
Helps, identify and resolve problem on behalf of residents, in order to improve their overall wellbeing. LTCOP is a 'citizen ddfender' who interceded between citizen and some form of authority. In addition to offering protection against the impersonality of bureaucracy, he or she also seeks to increase governments responsiveness and accountability, provides a complaint processing system and suggests ways to reorganize services in response to a pattern of complaint.
