• Adequate community knowledge about malaria is crucial in order to improve prevention by reducing exposure to the disease so plan a campaign from your hospital to educate the people about malaria signs and symptoms, causes and prevention.
• Conduct studies on malaria among children and young adults, in clinical-, treatment-, and prevention-based studies.Pregnant women and children are high-risk groups for malaria
• Teach the use of nets, residual sprays and keeping surrounding clean to the patients who come to hospital
• Conduct a medical camp in the community to primarily segregate the population having fever.People may be ignorant regarding treatment and also may take self medication.
• Prepare billboards and posters with information about malaria which can be positioned at strategic places in the community as reminders on proper preventive health behaviours.
• Prevalance of malaria in children from rural areas have a higher rate compared to children from urban areas.So school education programs can be conducted to educate the younger generation about effects of malaria sponsored by the hospital
• Initiate vector control measures in and around the hospitals
• Provide brochures about malaria to the people who visits the hospital
• Blood transfusions should be monitored and tested for malarial infection
• Spatial technologies provide rapid risk assessment in malaria-endemic areas by overlaying ecological data relevant to mosquito breeding and transmission, notification data and access to health services.
