Factors driving health care transformation include fragmentation, access problems, Unsustainable costs, suboptimal outcomes, and disparities. Cost and quality concern along with changing social and disease type demographics created the greatest urgency for the need for change. Caring for and paying for medical treatments for patients suffering from chronic conditions and bedridden patients.
There are transformative changes occurring in health care for which nurses, because of their love, their education, and the respect they have earned, are well positioned to contribute and lead. To be a major player in shaping these changes, nurses must understand the factors driving the change, mandates for practice change, and the competence (Knowledge skills, attitudes) that will be needed personal and system wide success. The role of registered nurse (RN) in leading and being fully contributing member of the inter professional team.
