culture is not simply about dance, music or festivals
Culture refers to a s of knowledge, beliefs, patterns of
behaviors, artifacts, and institutions that are created, learned,
and shared by a group of people. Culture (innate or learned)
includes all that human beings learn to use, to produce, to know,
and to believe as they grow to maturity and live out their lives in
the social groups to which they belong (everything we learn, not
independent of people).
The norms, values, beliefs, behaviors, and meanings given to
symbols in a in a society.
It includes Material culture which refers to human technology that includes all the things human beings make and use from small, handheld tools to skyscrapers. It is made up of things that have physical existence. It also includes Nonmaterial culture that consists of the totality of knowledge, beliefs, values, and rules for appropriate behavior.
Music festivals and dance are important parts of culture.Music and poetry reflect the culture and folklore of a society. This is seen in our national rhythm, compatriotic song, traditional songs, which emerge from classical literature, epics and heroic poems. Songs and music mirror history, values, norms and the mentality of a society. When folklore and cultural ceremonies are celebrated with songs music and dance, it is to demonstrate the tradition and customs of a society. Music is a significant part of our changeless culture.
To conclude culture includes many things that shape up our lives. Music Dance and Festivals are important part of culture.
