Solutions

Expert Solution

Two cultural groups and the manner in which members of the culture perceive and express pain include;

The educated and learned people of the country i.e. the USA who perceive pain for example in the case of laboring women as a result of the physiology i.e. the biological basis for it. They consider it very normal and part of the process of giving birth.

However, the uneducated people of the country who are not enlightened consider pain during childbirth due to the first sin of Eve whom they wrongly consider responsible for enticing Prophet Adam to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree.

These findings should influence the nursing care administered to laboring women representing these cultural groups as the nurse has to be sensitive to the views of its patients but at the same time convince them logically to accept the treatments recommended based evidence-based practice that is patient-centered.
