a).Medication error is defined as administering a medication in a wrong dose or to wrong person or the wrong drug results in harmful effects to the individual. Violating the ten rights of medication administration results in medication error.
b).High alert medications are those which will cause serious fatal conditions if administered wrongly.some of the high alert medications are epinephrine, norepinephrine,amiodarone and vecuronium.
