The theory of use and disuse is partially correct when you take the epigenetic effect on inheritance	This theory did not differentiate the germ cells and the somatic cells and hence couldnt give a strong basis for the inheritance theory
The variations in the offsrpings were seen in some of the organisms who supported the lamarckism	Due to the ignorance of the germ and somatic cells, the theory faced negative impact in begining by the Weismanns experiment.
In the 19th century Neo-lamarckians believed in this theory and proved them by conducting experiments. Some of them include: Max Standfuss experiment on butterflies.	This theory gave the future scientists a goal to disprove it and it had interpretations in many scientific endeavors
It had the center role for the scientific community to think otherwise. For example the epigenetic effect on inheritance, somatic hypermutation,etc. These experiments were based on a single statement of lamarck and were revolutionised the future of scientific world.	Darwinism was more promoted as Lamarckism was just theory without any experimental proof and hence most of the time lamarck theory was disagreed in many scientific communities.
