Is it possible that phrasing the discipline as bloodstain analysis instead of bloodstain interpretation would appear more scientifically rigorous when testifying in a judicial setting? If not, why? Is there a difference between bloodstain analysis and bloodstain interpretation?
No differences,
BPA (blood strain pattern analysis)
BPA is the interpretation of blood strains at a crime scene in order to recreate the action that cause the bloodshed .Analysts examine the size ,Shape distribution and location of the bloodstains to form opinions about what did or didn't happen.
Principles of BPA
BPA uses principles of biology (behaviour of blood)
Physics ( Cohesion , capillary action & velocity).
Mathematics ( geometry ,distance Angele)
Blood behave according to certain scientific principles analyst can categories the stain by gathering information from spatter pattern transfer ,voids and other markes that assist investigators in re-creating the sequence of event that occurred after bloodshed.
This from of physics evidence requires the anlysit to recognise and interpret pattern to determine how those pattern were created.
BPA providea information not only about what happened but just as importantly , what could not happened. This information can intrerpre the investigators in reconstructing the crime ,corroborating statements from witnesses, and including or excluding potential perpetrators from the investigation.
