Which of the following Powers the President Does Not have according to the constitution?
Here, option (b) is the answer
The President of USA has the power to make nominations of the judges to the federal judiciary and to nominate the chairman of the federal bureaucracies. But the power to nominate the judges to the state judiciary lies with the governors of the specific jurisdiction.
The appointment power of the President of USA states that the president has the power to nominate the members of the United states court of appeal and the US Supreme Court. These nominations also require senate confirmation and thus it also puts a curb on the complete monopoly of the President in this regard. The Clause 2 of the section 2 of Article II clearly make specifications in this regard that the President has the power of making nominations to appoint the judges of the court which includes the federal judiciary, but the corresponding nominations in each state has to be done by the corresponding governors.
