Yes, food sensitivity can turn into allergy.

​​​​​​FOOD SENSITIVITY -----It is immune mediated adverse reactions of food in body. It may be allergy or intolerance of food.

Food allergies are caused by presence of protein ( hapten ) within food. Food allergy is also called FOOD HYPERSENSITIVITY.

If food sensitivity turn into food allergy than , food allergy is IgE - immune mediated response in body against protein in food. It is life threatening condition of body.

​​​​​​If food sensitivity turn into food intolerance than, food intolerance is non-IgE immune mediated response , it is adverse reaction to food due to some metabolic, toxic to chemical substances in food ,Dgestive or psychological.

The person who has food sensitivity , becomes sensitive to chemicals , foods, or any type of allergens.

Symptoms of food allergies are ------

Itching, erythema, flushing, asthma, cough, digestive pain, diarrhea, rhinitis, fatigue,vomiting, it can systemic also like hypotension anaphylaxis ,etc.

Some food stuff's related to allergies in body are-

Eggs, milk, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, fish.
