You are the coordination for a research study. You noticed that the attrition rate is increasing. There are common factors that lead participants to drop out of a study. What can you implement to reduce the attrition rate of participants?

Lack of interest is the major reason for participants drop out the research study. The students or researcher loss his interest ibidoing research then they cannot work effectively and cannot attain the objectives of the research studies.

Research content is a factor which affect the attrition rate. If the research content is large and difficult to solve it will affect the attitude of the participants towards the study. If there is a time limit and they cannot complete the study with in that time due to its large content and difficulty participants drop out the study. Heavy work load is also an reason.

If the research study is a group work intimacy of other participants towards the study is important to do work appropriately. If any one of the participants losses their intimacy then it affect the entire research study.

Financial problems and lack of resources will also lead to the attrition of participants.

Measures implement to reduce the attrition rate include provide appropriate resources to the participants. And financial help also needed to complete a research work.

Provide necessary time to complete the study works

Divide the research topic in to small parts and given each topics to every members. Ensure the complete participation of every members.

Give proper instructions to the participants before starting the research study.
