  1. Can you explain the newborn’s assessment to the mother regarding any potential abnormalities? What advice would you provide to this new mother?
  2. Why did the nurse suggest placing the baby in a different part of the room?

Ans: Apgar test is done for the new born which check its Appearance of skin color ;pulse; griance(reflexes) ; Activity; respiration and it was 7 after one minute and 9 after five minutes. If the apgar test value is equal to or greater than 7 then the baby is normal .

Hence the new born is normal in condition.

The newborns assessment for any potential abnormalities for mother is - mother can check for skin color, movement of limbs, opening of eye lids, amount of milk the new born drank, time lap between the excretion or urination, amount of sleep baby has taken, etc.

A new mother should be very careful with baby, she should hold the baby in a right way, she should take care of the babies diaper, she should leave the baby alone or with the leaking diaper,

A new mother should not be afraid of anything,

She should be calm and positive in all the manner

She should take care of hunger of baby, she should be able to know why the baby is crying

If the mother saw the blood in the diaper then it is not a matter of big tension

It is caused because of irritation in anal region or may be due to the pomp the baby

In very rare cases it would be dangerous because of the intestinal bleeding etc

Nurse said the mother to keep baby on the other side of room because the baby may feel cool near the air conditioner because the baby should be kept in warm places till it becomes suitable to the environment. The baby may feel cool because the temperature difference between the mother's womb and outside environment

A new mother will become the best mother as the time passes..... ?
