A set of C57 mice were allowed access to wheels (WR) and another set of C57 mice (non-WR) were kept in their cages without a wheel. After 6 weeks of running by the WR mice (at typical cruising speeds - 3.5 km/hr), both sets of mice were tested on treadmill.

WR MICE ARE HAVE ROUTINE PRACTICE TO WORK AND DEVELOPED MUSCLES FOR THE SAME AND ESTBLISHED ENHANCED RELATION BETWEEN HEART OUT PUT AND GAS EXCHANGE CAPACITY IN LUNGS. WHILE NON WR GROUP OF MICE HAS NORMAL WORKING CAPCITY ON TRADEMILL SO IMPROVEMENT WILL BE COMPARED WITH NON WR GROUP OF MICE TAKING IT AS ZERO.
VO2 WILL BE LOW IN CASE OF WR GROUP WHILE THAT OF NON WR GROUP WILL BE HAVING HIGH VO2 AT CONSTANT AND SUBMAXIMAL TRADEMILL SPEED. THIS IS BECAUSE THE WR GROUP HAS ATTAINED ADAPTATION TO UTILIZE MAXIMUM OF O2 WITH HELP OF ENHANCED CARDIAC SUPPLY OF BLOOD WITH LEAST FATIGUE I.E. LEAST LACTIC ACID ACCUMULATION.
AS DISSCUSSED ABOVE IN B SECTION THAT PREPARED WR GROUP ARE READY DEVELOPED GAS EXHANGE AND STRENGTHY CARDIAC OUTPUT WILL BE HAVING LOW VO2 IN COMPARISON TO NORMALLY ADAPTED NON WR GROUP OF ANIMALS
