Categorize several (at least three) types of dementia
Types of dementia: dementia is general term for a severe loss of memory the types of dementia are 1) vasucular dementia , 2) dementia with lewy bodies 3)Alzheimers dementia. 1) vascualr dementia it is caused because of the damaged and blocked blood vessels in the brain this leads to decreaed blood flow to the brain and thus results in the dead tissues the severity depends on the location andsize of the damage and the symptoms are impaired judgement or ability to make decisions, plans and organize, 2) Dementia with lewy bodies: it is most common it is caused by the abnormal clumps of protien called lewy bodies develop around the cortex the initial symptoms are sleep disturbance, visual hallucinations and imbalanced gait, and memory loss and cognitive issues, 3) Alzhemiers disease: it is highest percentage of cases are seen it caused by plaques and bundles of proteins build up between nerve cells in the brain causing atrophy and ultimate brain cell death, the earliest symptoms are trouble with memory loss, apathy and depression and impaired communications, poor judgment and disorientations.
