Why should biotechnological experimentation be closely monitored and regulated

Solutions

Expert Solution

Biotechnological experimentation should be closely monitored and regulated because:-

1) safety of consumer and occupational regulations is done in order to protect members of the public who are in direct exposure of biotechnology products because of their decisions to consume or use them and to enter a workplace where biotechnology products are in use. risks associated with these products are injuries that consumers may suffer when using a biotechnology-based product or injuries to industrial workers caused by exposure to a biotechnological production.

2) secondly regulation of environment to ecological non–human health risks and human health risks to the public that are exposed to future biotechnology products regardless of their individual decisions. these risks include contamination of the surrounding environment and introduction of a pernicious species so it must be closely regulated .

As an airplane is taking off at an airport its position is closely monitored by radar. The following three positions are measured with their corresponding times: x1 = 264.08 m at t1 = 4.90 s, x2 = 312.33 m at t2 = 5.40 s, x3 = 364.72 m at t3 = 5.90 s. Throwback question: In pharmacologic research a variety of clinical chemistry measurements are routinely monitored closely for evidence of side effects of the medication under study. Suppose typical blood-glucose levels are normally distributed with mean 97.03 mg/dl and standard deviation 29.27 mg/dl. (Note: Round all of your answers to four decimal places where appropriate.) We would expect the blood glucose levels to fall between  and  in 99.7% of patients. A normal glucose range is 65 - 120 mg/dl. What is the probability a...
