It is sometimes difficult to express ourselves because of the boundaries established by gender role stereotypes (generalizations about how males and females should express themselves). List characteristics that you associate with being male. Now female. How do you think society/media has influenced your perceptions regarding the characteristics you chose? Now, suppose your son decides he wants to become a dancer. How would you feel about this? Would you willingly enroll him in dance classes, or try to discourage him? What role do you think society has played on your attitudes regarding gender role stereotyping?

4. The environment in which a child grows up has a tremendous impact on his/her psychological and social development. Think back to your childhood and list your family's strengths and weaknesses. Now list what you believe are the essential characteristics of a healthy "family" environment? How did your family compare? What can you do as a current or future parent to ensure that your child is raised in a healthy environment?

I personally believe in gender equality and life to be lived like as individuals call towards his or her's thaught process.

The era of stereotype gender role thinking has been evolved now a days as people are moving towards equal rights for both men and women's. If my son is willing to do the carrier in dancing then I would surely support him to fullfill his wish as I believe in the thinking that we should live the life in way we want as we get the life only once and we should make worth out of it. Only i would restrict him if he is going with wrong turns around to guide him in good path of it. So as to avoid the misleading thinking of the child. Ultimately it totally dependent upon our nurishment, enviornment in which childrens grows up and our parenting skills would have tremendous impact on it. How do we bow the seeds in soil will rise the quality of trees around this explains the whole picture for the same. Our will be ideal if we have provided him proper sociological and psychological enviornment to adopt the skills for rest of their life.
