Explain the product/solution presentation outline. What can be done differently for it to be a more effective outline? Explain your answer.
product/solution presentation outline:
The Product presentation represent an important part in the selling of the solution/product to the target customers.This is infact the first impression of the company to the customer and also it reflect the potential of the product.We very well know how critical is the firt impression for any product /solution to be successfull in the market.Its objective differ from audience to audience depending who is targetted AND the presentation is adjusted according to them so that they take interest to the presentation.In the outline of poduct /solution presentation there can be maximum of 20 slides and in most of the sales calls there are 30 minutes allowed for the presentation which means 2 min for each slides.The optimum no., of slide is conisder as 15 generally for it to be effective and not exhausting or boring.It is very important to keep it precise and to the point highlighting the feature of product and solutions .The main outilne includes generally :
Introduction --Just one slide to give introduction and introduce yourself /speaker and the point to cover in this presentation.
Information of company -Establish credibility and make a comfortable relation of the company with the target audience like including the customer lists,awards ,major milestones, high profile executive or advisor ,etc
Positioning -Every successful product/solution have a specialized or unique technology or positioning which set them apart from rest of the product in the market.You have to tell the audience this part of the product so that they know why they should listen to them and know the product and get interested in it.
Description of product- describe in very simplest terms to the audience so that anyone can easily understand the product and its purpose.Present how this product fits into thier environment etc.
Benefits to be articulated -walk through the features and its benefits to the customer or target audience so that they must relate to their needs
Sucess /Examples -show how people have been benefitted from the product /solution and why it is different and better
Closing argument -summarizes the product presentation ,ask the audience to do something or reiterate the points presented
In order to be this more effective i guess An agenda is to be presented between intoruction and Company information .It is option but it provides an opportunity to tell the target customers that we are going to cover this that etc in this presentation.This will avoid people who usually ask question early in the presentation and spoil the envt. and rest of interest of customers .This should also be one slide only .Now also as above discussed no. of slide should be kept in mind in order to make it moe effective outline.
