Answer:-
Given That:-
As the marketing director of Harley-Davidson, you need to determine what your customers would like in the next model. we put a survey on the Harley website. is this a good frame from which to select our sample
As a marketing director of Harley-Davidson, I would not
consider survey on website a good sampling frame because in order
to app of Approximate properties of population with sample,
we need to have pure random sample from the population
than only we can identify true properties of population. In
our example features which customers will like in next
model of Harley.
Survey on the website is not the random and unbiased representation
of target customer base of Harley Davidson because
not the customer who buys Harley Davidson visit
their website. There is significant chunk of
customers which buys the motorcycle without
browsing its website. just by analysing bike in show
room.
However selecting pure random sample in real life is
practically difficult , as a marketing director of Harley we can
select clustered sample from a particular region and they put
survey in front of them in order identify their choices for the
next model.
Clustering can be done by randomly selecting few
regions and then by random selection we
can identify the prospective customers and then ask them to fill
surrey.
