The latest nutritional disease occurring in Mexico, the U.S., and other countries is:
The latest nutritional disease occurring in Mexico and in other Latin America countries are currently municable chronic disease such as obesity and facing double burden of malnutrition deficiencies. Stunting and macronutrient deficiencies in low income young children iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women and widespread obesity in all age groups.
According to the ENN 99, The leading problems resulting from poor nutrition in Mexico were linear growth retardation, anemia and those resulting from several macronutrient deficiencies. At the time increased rate of obesity and overweight was first identified as a public health concern. The result of the ENN 99 were disseminated to the scientific community and presented to government authorities responsible for the formulation of nutrition and health policies and to other key actors in charge of the design and coordination of nutrition based programmmes. Malnutrition encompasses the range of problems that can occur when dietary energy and or nutrient intake are insufficient excessive or simply imbalanced. The natural swing in her walk and listen to her pant as she slowly advances in the line. The word malnourished has taken on a new person obesity. In developing countries the obesity epidemic I'd spreading even faster. Nutritionists in these countries used to believe that people had proper energy in their diet, they would get proper vitamins, minerals, and other macronutrients. But by cheaply providing them with large quantities of food high in saturated fat, sodium, and added sugar, sufficient intake of calories, but they still lack nutrients that they would obtain from whole grains, fiber, fruits and vegetables. The countries now have the double burden of undernutrion and obesity. The whole population needs to be educated about nutrition, but first the country needs to make sure that everyone can get educated. Many of the extremely poor are illiterate, most of them speaking only their indigineous language. Less money needs to be spent on quick fixes to overweight such as gimmicky diets and liposuction and more needs to be spent on nutritional education. The cost of education to prevent obesity would be many times repaid by the reduction of health care costs for treating diabetes and Nccds.
Mexican drink lots of milk, like salty foods more than sweet foods, eat an average of 6 litters every day, and have traditional domestic diet :soup, rice, and stew, without leaving out salsa and beans. About 10 - 12 percent of the Mexican population suffers from malnourishment. The Mexican habit of eating large quantities of hot chilli peppers may have contributed to the glossitis. Among the few persons to whom we gave test treatments for this condition some respond of riboflavin and some to niacin alone, but the most favorable response appeared to the follow whole b complex therapy. Skin changes such as dryness, scaling, induration and crackling were common, but it was difficult to determine to what extent these might be due to poor personal or environmental hygiene and adverse climatic condition. Had a difficulty in correlating corneal vascularisation either with riboflavin intake.
While there is need for improvement in the quantity and quality of the average Mexican diet, attempts at modification should take into account the fact that there is much of nutritive value in the food usually consumed.
