What is the difference between a product's shelf positioning and its shelf facings? How can a salesperson maximize both shelf positioning and shelf facings? Why is this important?
SHELF POSITIONING:-
Shelf positioning is the best positioning of the product in a store. Shopkeepers mainly keep the product in middle row as it is most likely to buy the product from middle shelf other than lower or upward by the customer. Shopkeepers mainly keep the product on the eye level which is in demand.
SHELF FACING:-
It is a common tool of retail industry to create the look of perfectly stocked store by pulling all the products on a display In the front. It is done to make store look neat and organised.
. A salesperson can maximise its shelf positioning and shelf facing by market research, after that he can keep the demanded product in the shelf in a neat and organised way to look it attractive to the customers.
IMPORTANCE:-
. Being at right place at right time is important for a product because it makes a crucial difference to its sale. When product is placed at the maximum visibility of the customer it will attract him.
. When every product in the store is perfectly placed then it will look attracted to the customer that will increase the sales of that product.
