ALESSE is a birth control pill (oral contraceptive) that
contains two female sex hormones (levonorgestrel and Ethinyl
estradiol).
It has been shown to be highly beneficial in preventing pregnancy
when taken as prescribed by your doctor. Pregnancy is always
harmful than taking birth control pills except in smokers older
than age 35.
* Birth control pills work by inhibiting the monthly release an
egg, by the ovaries.
* Thickens the vaginal fluid, which blocks sperm from fertilizing the egg.
* Some studies have indicated changes in the endometrium (lining of the womb) and mucus produced by the cervix (opening of the uterus) with the use of birth control pills, making it more difficult for a fertilized egg to implant within the womb.
* if a fertilized egg fails to attach to the uterus, it will pass right out of the body.
Effectiveness of Birth Control Pills Combination birth control
pills are more than 99 % effective in preventing pregnancy
when:
