Option A - When tongue-trust reflex fades
tongue-trust reflex is otherwise called extrusion reflex is a protective reflex seen in the baby which protect the baby from choking, aspiration of the food, protection from foreign bodies ingestion.
When the surface of the tongue of the baby are touched the tongue will automatically provides a upward trust this is called the tongue trust reflex.
This reflex fade out at the age of 3 to 4 month making the baby to eat solid foods
Option B - When the child has head-neck control
A proper head to neck control should be needed for giving solid food, otherwise there is a high risk for the aspiration of the food
usual child get a head-neck control around 3 month of age
Option C -When the child is able to sit with support
Child should be able to sit with aminimum support is a criteria for feeding solid food.
