current situation of WTO(World Trade organization):-

WTO is a global organization that manages and promotes free trade. The members of WTO enjoys less tariffs on exports as compares to non members.

It also acts as a dispute settler. It levys sanctions in case of violation of trade agreements.

Current situation of WTO is quite in stress. As, there is disruption in international trades and pressure is surmounting on WTO.

Negotiations are not working when it comes to intellectual property rights and agricultural subsidies.

The members of the world trade organization are getting in their own regional trades for their trade advancements.

The current US sovereign government rules have supposedly taken away some powers of WTO hence crippling the organization and making its decisions less effective in the global trade. Also,WTO decisions cannot be enforced as of now which jeopardize the future of rules of global trade skeptical.

Some leadership issues are marginalizarion of non members and favouring those trades which are of interests which leads to less cultural diversity . It has been cricized for being undemocratic in its way of working which comes under a leadership flaw.

There are allegations of politicisation of appellate body appointments and reappointments processes deaay whose work is hypertechnical and vancant post only leads to unresloved disputes.
