Sports participation is considered as a good thing. It promotes health. It also ensure the wellness at emotional and psychological level. Beside these benefits, there are also some risk factors. Whenever proper warm up is not being done then sprain becomes a most common problem.

If ill fitted sports equipment and dressings are used then also physical injuries may take place. Cramps and fractures become a normal aspect if proper planning is not being done. If sports are played in an unguided manner then a person may become victim of overuse and in such case the sportsperson remain unaware about his/her own body strengths and start applying greater force than the body part can withstand.

This may lead to severe physical injuries. Joint injuries and nose bleeding are also common in sports injury. Following up of safety guidelines are important if we wish to over-weigh the risks factors of sports participation. Sports participation reduces obesity.

It also reduces chances of getting heart diseases. A pro active approach is required to avoid any type of sports injury. Safer operational procedures should be developed and followed for enjoying sports without any injury.
