: indian subcontinent is located in South part of Asian continent. Geogrphically Indian subcontinent is isolated from rest of Asia due to Himalayan Mountain Ranges. Himalayan ranges are Produced due to forces of collidation of Eurasion and Indian tectonic plates.
The extreme terrain of this mountain ranges has worked to keep the indian subcontinent and it's population isolated from the rest of Asia and world throughout History.
