1) What is the instantaneous velocity of a freely falling object 14 s after it is released from a position of rest?
2) What is its average velocity during this interval?
3) How far will it fall during this time?

What is the instantaneous velocity of a freely falling object 10s after it is released from a position of rest? What is its average velocity during this 10s interval? How far will it go during this velocity during this time?
Initial velocity u = 0 m / s
Accleration a = g = 9.8 m / s 2
time t = 10 s
Let instantaneous velocity of a freelyfalling object 10s after it is released from a position of restbe v then , from the relation ,
v = u + at we have
v = gt
= 98 m / s
Let the distance travelled in 10 s be S thenfrom the relation ,
S = ut + ( 1/ 2) a t 2 weget
S = ( 1/ 2) g t 2
= 490 m
? its average velocity duringthis 10s interval v ' = S / t
= 49 m / s
