It the war on terror is dragged for another decade then it will have a negative effect on U.S. economy. It will cause direct economic destruction of property and lives. It will create market uncertainty, loss of tourism and increased insurance claims. It will destroy human resources and economic resources. In war, property and human lives are destroyed. It will create uncertainty in stock market which causes less investment and less business opportunities. In war time insurance claims are increase which is not liked by insurance companies and their financial situation is affected. In war time tourism is almost stopped due to risk of property and lives. So tourism will have to bear a great loss. It will affect international trade also because in war time international trade is to be stopped because no country wants to do trading with a country in which war is going on. So it will have a negative effect on economy in short term as well as long term.
