a). Calculating unlevered Beta:-

Unlevered Beta = Equity Beta/[1+(1-Tax rate)*Debt/Equity]

= 1.1/[1+(1-0.25)*20/80]

= 0.926316

So, unlevered bets is 0.92

b). Calculating Equity beta with new debt of 50%:-

Levered Beta = Unlevered Beta*[1+(1-Tax rate)*Debt/Equity]

= 0.926316*[1+(1-0.25)*0.50/0.50]

= 1.621053

So, Levered Beta is 1.62

As per CAPM,

Expected Return = Rf + b(Rmp)

Rf = Risk free Return = 6%

Rmp = Market Risk Premium = 4%

Beta = 1.621053

Expected Return = 6% + 1.621053(4%)

= 12.484212%

So, Cost of Equity is 12.48%

c). Calculating BEA's WACC with 50% debt amount:-

Before-tax Cost of Debt of new debt is 10%
