Since there is currently a coronavirus epidemic, why is it a good time to clear up the issues on opioid abuse? I need to hear your opinion on this issue, not how to treat opioid abuse.

Yes.! I do think the same because :

First of all opioid dependent people are one of the high risk groups during this pandemic because opioid depresses your respiratory centre and some other vital centres .These people are less immune to infections so eventhough you are young if you are an opioid addict then you are in the high risk categeory.

if opioid abusers are effected with corona virus then the chances of survival is very less.

Here comes your reason to stop opioid intake , if you are still on opioids then it may take up your LIFE and obviously nothing is more important than you being alive ,we have a lot to do and we don't want a small invisible organism to take up our life. It's your time to motivate yourself and stop drug abuse .

yes,obviously it will be difficult but this is the best time and now due to this epidemic LOCKDOWN is being implemented in many countries and some strict rules in some countries so people are staying in their homes most of the time and now you get more time to spend with your FAMILY and there are many people around you who care about you an who can help you to get out of this.

you alone cannot solve opioid issues but you have a lot of time and you can consult a doctor and have a simple talk regarding the withdrawl symptoms if you have any and have some suggestions which may help you.

YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME and LESS DISTRACTION as the availability of the drug during this epidemic time is difficult and one can try to modify their life during this time. It's a pretty huge time and by staying at homes we can use it wisely. we can learn some new activities or throw away some bad habits which we don't want in our life.

This is my opinion on opioid abuse but not on opioids which are prescribed by the physicians.
