Analyzing patient outcomes have become a critical component of quality performance in healthcare delivery. Your hospital organization has a healthcare management information system (MIS) that captures information at the time of patient registration and at times services are received. Your organization also has a clinical information system (CIS) that captures some similar information as the MIS but also captures clinical status measures at the times of diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care given at your facility. What additional information is needed from the patient to analyze patient outcomes? How would you collect and store that information? What process and systems would you implement to analyze those patient outcomes?
