1. The inhabited localities and topography of the appalachian heritage consist of 13 states, which is divided into southern , northern and central parts. The region is rugged and mountaineous. More than 25 million people live in the appalachian region. Infrastructure is very much limited in alappachain region. English,saxon, elizabethan gaelic are the common language and dialect of the region. there is lack of educational facilities and lower college graduates.

Arab is situated in nthe northeaster part of africa and is the greatest pennisula in the world .the pennusela consis of central plateau, deserts, mountains ,dry or marshy coastlines. it contains the largest reserves of oil.

2. The appalachian and the Arab use cultural means to seek treatment.They believe that mental illness is cause by bad nerves and belives in bilomedical treatment of disease.

3.Religious faith is one of the factor in overcoming the illness, healh is a sign of forgiveness, illness is gods will. supersitious influence health belief. Patient comes to hosiptal only when a health crisis occure. treatment is done mostly by non medical practioner.

Arab people believe that health and illness is the result of the consequences given by God but they do seek professional medical help. However there is preferene for gender health care givers and providers especially among women.
