IRR 60.47%

The market research cost is a sunk cost and should not considered in the NPV analysis.

Depreciation = Investment / Life = 1200 / 4 = 300

We use marginal tax rate will calculating profits and cash flows.

Cash Flows = Investment + NWC + Profits + Depreciation + Salvage x (1 - tax rate)

CFFA = 751.68 + 300 = $1,051.68

NPV can be calculated using NPV function in excel or calculator or manually with 5.8% discount rate.

NPV = $2,669.51

PI = 1 + NPV / CF0 = 1 + 2,669.51 / 1,590 = 2.68

Payback Period is the no. of years it takes to recover the investment.

Payback period = 1,590 / 1,051.68 = 1.51 years

IRR can be calculated using the same function in excel or calculator

IRR = 60.47%
