Osmium is a naturally found densest element/material found on earth. It has a density of 22.58 g/cm3, which is slightly hivher than that of iridium.
It has a hardness of around 4 GPa. It is brittle and lustrous, and has a very high melting point. It was found by Smithson Tennant in the year 1803.
