Think of a disaster that might be predicted to occur in your area. according to the Public Health Management of Disasters , list 5 people (job titles) who should be included in a planning meeting. What special plans for that disaster should be made so that your area will be prepared?

It is very important to be prepared for the disaster before it comes because it reduces the amount of damage to the people.

The emergency services that should be called for the meeting to plan for the disaster:

1. Medical workers: to plan how to treat all the people after disaster and how to provide the best medical care.
2. Police: to manage the population and also managing the criminal acts in that area.
3. Fire Brigade: to manage the fire if occurs in that area due to disaster.
4. Rescue team: to rescue the people if got stuck somewhere in the disaster.
5. Social services: to help people for their basic need completion like food,water and clothes.

The plans that should be made-

The announcement should be made to the people about the disaster and how important it is to get prepared before that by themselves.

People should be asked to prepare their own requirements emergency kit. Which should include medical items,food,water and senitation.

The electricity supply of that area should be cut off for few days to avoid further worsening of condition.

The medical emergency ambulance should be prepared for the people to treat in the emergency.

Nursing staff should be prepared to interact with the people and complete all the therapeutic requirements of the people.

The fire brigade with extinguishers should be managed in emergency fire.

Supply of food and water services should be planned before. So the people would not face any problem of their basic needs after the disaster. The alternate place should also be managed for the shelter of the people. Rescue team should be prepared to rescue people and to take them to the safe place where all the medical emergency are prepared.
