The frontal and temporal lobes, the limbic system, and parts of the brain stem that control alertness are also involved with memory. They are all interrelated.

Memory is a function of maintaining information over a period of time and retrieve it when required. Memory is n integral part of our lives it gives an insight of our past on which our present and future depend. Memory can sore large number information. There is three method in which memory is encoded 1. Visual, 2. Acoustic 3. Semantic. When we see some numbers that are visual and repeated to remember it, is called Acoustic, when it is changed into sound or meaning it is semantic.

Memory is stored in Short Time Memory (STM) or Long Time Memory(LTM) STM is stored and retrieve subsequently while LTM is stored and can be retrieved at any point. This shows the stages of memory as encoding, storage, and retrieval.

The different parts of the brain associated by brain were accidentally discovered during the operation done on Henry Molaison who was suffering from epileptic seizures for many years the operating doctor removed seahorse-shaped brain structure called the hippocampus that lay within each temporal lobe operating. After the operation, his seizure reduced but he had lost his memory from 11 years prior to the operation. He suffered acute amnesia.

When faced with a problem or choice, humans can use two different strategies: "cognitive reflectivity," which results in slower responses and few mistakes, or "cognitive impulsivity," which results in quicker responses but also more mistakes. Depending on the individual, these two strategies are used differently. A pilot experiment was conducted on 22 right-handed individuals who were administered a cognitive reflectivity-impulsivity questionnaire, while recording voxel-based morphometry (regional gray matter density) in the ventral medial prefrontal cortex. Based on the experimental design...

1) Humans have populated regions in which the geomorphic settings pose hazards for construction and engineering projects. Discuss the extent to which the potential hazards are caused by intrinsic versus extrinsic thresholds. Build your discussion around comparing and contrasting humid, semi- arid, glaciated, and periglacial environments.

Does our cognitive capacity change as we age? Researchers have noted a change in cognitive functioning as people age (Bartus, 1990). However, the results from other research suggests that the antioxidants in foods such as blueberries may reduce and even reverse these age-related declines. You decide to conduct your own study using a related-samples (within-subjects) design, to determine if a blueberry supplement can change cognitive capacity in older adults. You will use an alpha level = .05, and choose to...

Many marketing researchers have their favorite research approaches or techniques, although different researchers often have different preferences. Some researchers maintain that the only way to really learn about consumers or brands is through in-depth, qualitative research. Others contend that the only legitimate and defensible form of marketing research involves quantitative measures. List the question first and then answer each question (copy and paste). The next question, list the question and then answer it. This is the correct format to answer...

Several researchers have found evidence of sheepskin effects, in which the labor market return to twelfth grade is higher than the return to eleventh grade and the return to the fourth year of college is higher than the return to the third year of college. Why does this evidence of sheepskin effects bolster the screening explanation for the relationship between education and earnings?
