Frequency of a wave

What is the frequency of a wave whose time period is 0.05 seconds

Solutions

Expert Solution

The relationship between the time period and frequency of a wave is

T=1/f

Here time period T=0.05 s

And f=?

Putting this value in the above relation, we get

0.05 =1/f

f= 1/0.05

f= 100/5

f=20Hz

Thus the frequency of a wave is  20 Hz

Thus the frequency of the wave is 20 Hertz.
