What is pulse and periodic wave Differentiate the pulse and periodic wave.
A pulse is defin d as a wave of short duration while A periodic wave is a continuous wave of long duration.
A pulse is not repetitive while a wave is repetitive.A periodic wave has a basic pattern which repeats itself after a fixed interval.
A pulse is setup by a single disturbance in the medium.while a periodic wave is set up by a continuous disturbance in the medium.
When a pulse is formed, the medium oscillates for a short while and then returns to its original position.while as when a periodic wave is formed, the medium oscillates for a long time after it is disturbed.
A pulse is formed in a small part of the medium.so in the formation of a pulse only a part of medium is displaced from its original undisturbed position.while a periodic wave stretches over the entire length of the medium.so in the formation of a periodic wave, every point of the medium is displaced.
A pulse is defined as a wave of short duration, while a periodic wave is defined as a continuous wave of long duration.
