The language barrier is defined as the difficulty in sharing thoughts, ideas, and information within two people or within a group. It mainly characterized by an inability to communicate or the inability to pass information between one another.
The main 3 strategies to avoid language barrier includes
Use simple and clear language during communication - If you communicate using complicated words or phrases, it may difficult to understand by some people due to various factors like illiteracy, noise, etc. So, by using the simple, clear, and local language you can avoid barriers in your communication.
Use a translator or Interpreter - While taking with a different language (other than mother tongue of clients) use an interpreter or translator to overcome the language barrier and to avoid miscommunication.
Include visual methods during communication - Showing pictures, different types of diagrams, and speech to text slides can prevent the language barrier and make the participants easy to understand.
Other than this Use Repetition, it means to repeat the sentence or any difficult phrase you are saying can make communication effective.
