Expert Solution

The factors to be considered in the decision-making process for standardisation versus adaptation includes the external market and the various issues connected with it like the pricing practices, trade barriers, taxes, rates, demands, market structures, transportation costs, price controls, legal issues, political, economic. These consideration or factors are associated with the pricing adaptation. The distribution adaptation includes network, budget, transportation, distribution system, channels of the firm in transporting to the foreign market. Decision-making in standardization includes the implementation of marketing decisions, principles and philosophies in marketing decisions. Furthermore, decision making in standardization also includes the distribution, price, promotion and product and these are essential elements of a marketing mix.

The main challenges in the decision making in the standardization versus adaptation include the risks with each of the alternatives. This is because global standardization will only be effective only to a certain point and widening differences between the industrialized nations and markets. Furthermore, the financial resources, intermediaries, media habits, communication costs, viability and differences across the channels can probably cause issues.
