Henry Thomas Throckmorton was born at 2:06 this morning at Atherton Memorial Hospital. Henry weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and is 22 inches long. He appears to be a healthy and normal human infant. What is the basic nature of human personality? What influences will shape little Henry’s personality? How will his parents influence the development of his personality? SIGMUND FREUD
According to Sigmund Freud personality develops during early childhood, childhood experiences shape child personality. Freud explained 4 stages of psychosexual theory.

SKINNER
Skinner a behaviourist and to predict the personality of a child, skinner has to focus on overt and observable behaviour that is learned from the environment. And according to him human behaviour under stimulus control, the important variable which is responsible for learning behaviour are Reinforcement, Discriminative Stimulus, Contingencies of Reinforcement.

According to him, the child will continuously motivate to fulfil their every need and try to make efforts to achieve Self-actualization need.
