Explain Intercellular recognition and memory. (Cells)Having trouble explaining it
Cell - cell recognition is the cell's ability to distinguish one type of neighbouring cell from another . This phenonmenon occurs when the complementary molecule son opposing cell surfcaes meet .
A receptor on one cell surface binds to its specific ligand on a nearby cell, initiating a cascade of events which regulate cell behaviour ranginng from simple adhesion to ocmplex cellular differentiation .
these are grouped into two categories are as follows Intrinsic recognition which is also called as inter cellular recognition and extrinsic recognition .
Intrinsic recognition is when cells that are parts of the same organism associate ., or within the cells of the same organism for example ;- that one's body cell's ability to identify the one own ';s cells or the foreign cells body .
Extrinsic recognition is when the cell of one organism recognizes a cell from another organism like the mammalian cell detects a microorganism in the body .
Memory cells are those cells in our body that stores the data of all the cells functioning activities in it , for example when a person get infected by microrganism our memory cell store the data of that previous microoganism and transport this information to the immune sysytem, in future interaction of that same microorgnism to produce antibody aganist it.
