Serving patients in a home or non-clinical environment, they hire and manage nurses and other healthcare personnel. They need to comply with quality of care guidelines and in some cases, guidelines based on national and organisational norms should be developed. They must also know how to budget, plan resources, logistics, and design and implement patient care plans.
