i am writing a research paper on "How does elementary class room size affect organizational citizenship behavor for teacher in a self contained class room setting and need to come up with a thesis?
Defination of self contained class room: Are specifically designated for children with disabilities. Self contained programs are usually indicated for children with more serious disabilities who may not be able to participate in general education programs.
A self-contained classroom is one in which the students share similar academic requirements. For example, all the gifted children in a school or school district will be contained in the same class.
.The basic education starts from the early childhood & is called the golden age of the child , in which all the functions & capabilities of the children are growing very fast , required the contribution of adults to provide stimilution to their ability to develop it. This indicate the important functions of the teachers carrying out their duties also with with social competence . The maximum contribution ofthe teachers can be achieved if they continue develop themselves through the formal , informal & social behaviors . for example such as cooperation, assisting each others tolerence with students , & applying the principles & spirit of togeatherness. By having the OCB ,the teachers can interpretate to have OCB which is the benefit ed for the progress of the school .
The reseach proved that organizational culture , leader ship,style & decisin making have a positive influence towards organizational behavior towards OCB of school teachers of preschool. The teachers who have a unique culture in school perform OCB better , teacher attitude affedt their behavior . The positive attitudes is expected because positive behavior will improve the performance of teachers & show positive results for their school. Therefore , its quite important for the school to be aware of the factors will affect their teachers
Any extra behavior of the teacher will increase contribution to education in return. It can be pointed out that enhanching OCB of a teacher in pre-school would strengthen the organizational culture, leadership style & decision making.
The factors affecting teachers OCB include Organizational culture , leader ship styles, & the decision . Organizational culture is what the employees percive & that preception creates patterns of belief , values & expectations
Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) has received much attention in the past decade as scholars have recognized its significant impact on the success of organizations. The current studyseeks to enrich our understanding of citizenship behavior in the school setting by identifying the main factors that may enhance this behavior among teachers
– Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that teacher empowerment played animportant role in mediating the relationship between teachers’ PDM and OCB. Involvement indecision-making processes induces teachers to take on new roles and have a more direct impact onschool life, which in turn might lead them to invest extra efforts in achieving school objectives.Principals and school administrators should acknowledge the importance of empowerment to teachers, and involve teachers in decision making within the managerial arena too
The results of the study contribute to our understanding of the way PDM and OCB interact in schools, and the importance of teachers' sense of empowerment in explaining this relationship. Future research should further investigate the organizational citizenship within schools as little research has been conducted to date.
